Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon
Standard Chartered Bank has sponsored the Hong Kong Marathon for 14 consecutive years starting from 1997. Through this sponsorship, the Bank promotes a healthy lifestyle and the marathon spirit in Hong Kong's community.
The annual race has attracted overwhelming participation from local and international runners. It is the largest participatory sporting event in Hong Kong, a 'Brand Hong Kong' activity and a source of pride for Hong Kong's community.

Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2010
This year marked the 14th year of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon and the event was successfully completed on 28 Feb 2010.

Supporting the Community
- The Marathon Charity Programme has been supporting the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled for the past 14 years and raised around HK$18 million
- Over HK$3 million for Seeing is Believing has been raised for the past 5 years
- The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society was newly added in 2009 as one of the beneficiaries of the Marathon Charity Programme
- Run for the Green - an environmental campaign that encourages students to make simple lifestyle changes for conservation. Over 31,500 students, their parents and teachers have already joined this campaign, and 161,745 pledges have been made so far.
Marathon 101 Education Programme
With the continued support and endorsement of the Education Bureau, the "Marathon 101 Education Programme" attracts overwhelming participation from primary and secondary schools. In 2009, 70% of the schools in Hong Kong joined the Programme.
