Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2010
Join The Race, Feel The Energy
This year marked the 14th year of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon and the event was successfully completed on 28 February 2010.
Join the Race. Feel the Energy
As the largest participatory sporting event in Hong Kong, the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2010 fields 60, 000 runners – 5,000 more than 2009 and the highest quota in the event's history.
A new route was introduced to the full marathon, passing through a newly constructed landmark in Hong Kong, the Stonecutters Bridge (Route 8).
To inject positivity to the society, this year's slogan was 'Join the Race. Feel the Energy' which aims to encourage all walks of life to participate in the Marathon – as runners or cheerers, and to live out the "can-do" spirit and the Marathon spirit of perseverance.
Huge support from the HKSAR Government and leaders in the community
Top government officials officiated the races and presented prizes to the winners together with Jaspal Bindra, Group Executive Director and CEO, Asia, and Ben Hung, CEO Hong Kong, on the event day. Guests include:
- The Hon. Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of HK Government

Ben Hung, CEO Hong Kong, remarked at the event, "The success of the Marathon would not be possible without the support of Hong Kong's community, our dedicated runners, our staff volunteers, and all who have contributed valuable time and resources to this event." . The Standard Chartered HK marathon has truly become the most significant event in Hong Kong.
