General Terms & Conditions For Both Promotions
1.
The promotional period of Marathon Trade Reward Program (the "Reward Program") and Marine Cargo Insurance Offer (the "Insurance Offer") is from 1 February to 31 December 2008 (the "Promotional Period").
2.
Both promotional offers are only applicable to Standard Chartered SME Banking customers (the "Customers") who have enrolled in the Reward Program.
3.
Customers cannot enjoy this Reward Program in conjunction with any other promotional offers offered by the Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank").
4.
The Bank reserves the right to vary, modify or terminate the above offer and the applicable terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In case of disputes, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
5.
Should there be any inconsistency or conflict between the English and the Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.
   
Terms & Conditions For The Reward Program
1.
During the Promotional Period, Customers can enrol anytime by submitting an enrolment form or by contacting their SME Relationship Manager. Trade Miles will be rewarded from the month of enrolment. Customers already enrolled in the Reward Program in 2007 will be automatically enrolled in this Reward Program in 2008, and enjoy the Marine Cargo Insurance Offer upon request. Customers may request to withdraw from the Reward Program by calling 2282 8565.
2.
During the Promotional Period, existing Customers (with trade accounts opened before 1 January 2008) must accumulate turnover of designated trade transactions in 2008 (excluding the month of January) exceeding the said turnover in the same quarter in 2007 in order to be eligible for the Reward Program. Trade Miles are rewarded based on the turnover increment of one quarter compared with the same quarter in 2007.
3.
For new Customers (with trade accounts opened on or after 1 January 2008), Trade Miles are rewarded for all turnover of designated trade transactions processed within the Promotional Period.
4.
Trade Mile is calculated on a quarterly basis. During the Promotional Period, the last day of each quarter (i.e. 31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December) is the cut-off date to calculate the Trade Miles rewarded.
5.
The notification letter and gift redemption form will be sent to Customers every quarter. Customers can order gift(s) by completing the form and faxing it to 2267 2128 before the stated deadline.
6.
Additional 2,000,000 bonus Trade Miles is given out every quarter to: i) the Customer with the highest quarterly incremental outstanding amount, with a minimum growth of HK$1,000,000; and ii) the Customer with the highest quarterly incremental outstanding percentage, with a minimum growth of HK$1,000,000. The quarterly incremental outstanding amount is the incremental outstanding amount at the end of each quarter during the Promotional Period compared with the amount at the end of the previous quarter.
7.
Standard Chartered Trade Services Coupon only applies to the Bank’s handling charges of any trade transaction. The use of the Standard Chartered Trade Services Coupon is subject to the relevant Terms and Conditions.
8.
Customer must be the cardholder of Standard Chartered JOS Visa Business Platinum Card to enjoy the free spending limit. Application of Standard Chartered JOS Visa Business Platinum Card is subject to approval.
9.
The use of the coupons is subject to the relevant terms and conditions stipulated by the suppliers. The Bank gives no guarantee to the quality of the goods and services and does not accept any responsibility or any liability arising in conjunction with the use of any goods and services provided by the suppliers.
10.
If the gift is out of stock, the Bank reserves the right to offer a substitute. The gift is not transferable or exchangeable for cash or other values.
   
Terms & Conditions For Marine Cargo Insurance Offer
1.
The Marine Cargo Insurance is underwritten by MSIG Insurance (Hong Kong) Limited (the "MSIG"), MSIG will be responsible for all protection and claim issues. The Bank does not accept any responsibility regarding any statement made by MSIG, or any discrepancy and omission between the contract of insurance and this promotional material.
2.
The Marine Cargo Insurance Offer is only applicable to Customers who have enrolled in the Marathon Trade Reward Program.
3.
The Marine Cargo Insurance Offer is only applicable to Customers who did not purchase MSIG Marine Cargo Insurance 12 months prior to the month of their successful enrolment in the Reward Program. For Customers who have been automatically enrolled in the Reward Program in 2008, they can enjoy this offer if they did not purchase the said insurance 12 months prior to February 2008.
4.
Additional 20,000 Trade Miles will be offered if the Customer discusses with MSIG sales managers in-person within 3 months of successful Marathon Trade Reward Program enrolment. Each Customer is only eligible to enjoy this offer once.
5.
50% discount offer on premiums of Marine Cargo Insurance only applies to the first 5 marine cargo transactions with premiums of HK$600 or above. Transaction with an insurance premium below HK$600 will neither be eligible for the offer nor be counted towards the discount quota of the first 5 transactions.
6.
MSIG reserves the right on the final approval of the Insurance Offer.
